Pukeko

After a visit to the dentist I popped down to Hamilton Lake to take a few photos. This pukeko caught my eye because his head was so much shinier and a brighter red than all the others and he really stood out from the crowd. The others were all quite a dull, almost dirty looking red. I have no idea why this one was so different but he looked like he'd been given a polish.

Definitely not a statue - I even saw him fly a little way. @susiemc Baby pukekos are the funniest - they have enormous feet on little bodies. @jillibean Your daughter was right - this one especially looked like he had a swimming cap on. @alinz It must be like clown trying to run in big shoes. @lookitsz @aat3877 Thanks very much.
