As Spring approaches the wood pile shrinks and the weights which once held coverings over the wood to keep it dry begin to accumulate on the ends of the empty wood stacks. They'll wait here faithfully, like soldiers in active reserve, until they're called up for duty next Fall.
Thank you both. I truly appreciate your feedback. This was one of those shots that I liked the moment I took it. I just love that rusty color on the weights. It was such a vibrant contrast to the snow in the background. Of course the snow is gone now, but I'm not complaining!
