I was out spraying the plants today to protect them from deer seeking a tasty snack when I made a new friend. As you can see, he's not the happiest fellow, but that's only because he's a bit camera shy. When he'd had enough of that silver box being stuck next to him on the ground, he hopped into the shelter of my Tiger Lilies. I took that as my cue that the photo session was over and left him alone. But he was one of those little surprises that are fun to discover in the garden and I was delighted to have found him!
@kerristephens@mrssmith@friendie Thanks everyone- wow you are quick! I just posted this! Mrs. Smith- I must confess, my knees are shot so I can't really crawl on the ground anymore. I basically put the camera down and press the button hoping for the best!
@nanascraps@bkbinthecity Thanks Barbara and bkb. It's been a week of wildlife for me. Not only did I find the toad, but we've had a Northern Goshawk pick off a few of the mourning doves at our feeder )o: Nature has her ways. Thanks so much for your comments!
@kimmiesue@lisjam1 Thanks Kim and Lisabell- he was cute and I kept telling him not to worry about me- all I wanted was his picture, but I think his pose says it all "I can't wait to get away from this crazy thing!". Thanks again!
