Today's shot comes courtesy of my husband's awesome observational skills. I had just gotten out of bed when Jeff called to me and demanded I bring my camera outside immediately. So with frumpled hair, pjs on and camera in hand, I ran out the front door and around the side of the house to see what all the fuss was about. And here it is! The delicate web was strung between two trees in between our house and the neighbor's; its width about 8 inchdes in all. There's no question in my mind that spider webs are some of nature's most amazing constructions. "How do they do that?!", was all we could say as we stood there looking at it glistening in the sun. Then I got busy taking pictures!
Gorgeous! I think this is so beautiful! And it's wonderful that you have your husband to scout out these great pictures for you!!! (I wondered if anyone else has taken pictures outside with pjs on....and now I know that I am not alone! hehehe!)
@allie912@mrssmith@roejan Thanks Allison, Mrs. Smith and Roe Jan! Haha- Mrs. Smith- I'm so glad I'm not alone with the pj thing!! Yes- Jeff has a good eye for spotting photos. At first he left me to my own devices with 365, but now he's pointing things out and checking all my pictures. He gets excited because I'm excited. Yep-he's a keeper (o: .
Wow! What a cool spider web! There is this quote in a gift book I like that says, "If a tiny spider can design a intricate web just imagine what beauty we can create with our lives".
@potsbypam@jmj Thanks Pam and Jennifer! That's a good quote Pam-very true! Yes Jennifer- It is amazing- especially if I'd included a picture from further back and everyone could have seen where he'd strung it. Just one more reason to praise His name!
