This month is jam-packed with challenges, discussions and themes all competing for photos. This shot begins my "S" challenge and today's word was soft. I hadn't really given it much thought as I was busy helping out a friend today, but on the way to my car when we'd finished all the work in her house, I noticed a Rose of Sharon bush happily blooming in the summer sun. The petals of the blossoms looked so soft, like delicate folds of fragranced tissue paper or silk. Out came the camera! Now all I need to take are pictures of some things that make me happy, a fairy tale or two and a mass of cliches. Piece of cake-oh! I think I have an idea for one of those cliche shots!!
@bkbinthecity Thanks bkb- it was beautiful in color too, but I really felt the b&w emphasized the softness of the petals. Thanks for catching that. @alia_801 Thanks Alia- I thought that the vignette would add to the softness- thanks for confirming my thoughts!
