Ughhhh!!!! Do you know how much I hate taking selfies??!!! Let's just say I'd rather have my tooth pulled without novacaine, eat squid, or hold a snake in my hands than take a picture of myself! Selfies (or any kind of portrait with myself as the subject) are excrutiating! My poor husband has been trying to offer support and suggestions throughout most of the day in order to help me obtain a decent self-portrait. "In this one you look too sleepy." "In this one you look bored." "This one's nice but it's out of focus." "I'd like this better if it was taken from a different angle." "You should lean your head on your arm and take the shot from here." "You should peek around a door and take a shot." "That background is too distracting." "You should wear a hat." Finally, with a slight amount of exasperation, he said, "Why don't you take a picture of yourself taking a picture in the mirror." Now, that got me smiling.
hee hee.....this is just fine!
My trick to take one of myself is to set up the camera on timer with it sitting on something ridiculous (like a bag of sugar on top of a flowerpot) and then I just laugh at it! You can do it several times till you're ok with one of them!
Haven't tried one on here yet though!

I can see your husband is your number 1 cheer leader! This is a great shot if you want to leave your friends guessing! Some day you'll put down that camera and look us right in the eye.

@bruni Bruni you are sweet!! Yes, believe or not, I am a grandma- 3 times with another one on the way!! There are two reasons I think it doesn't show- 1) my faith keeps me young and 2) I married young! (But not too young.) Thank you for your kind words!
