Onion

Oops! I was so preoccupied with catching up on all my views (of which I've hardly scratched the surface) that I forgot to post a picture yesterday!! So here's the last of the vegetable series that goes with the red and green pepper.
I am going to have to take a closer look the next time I prepare a salad. This is so cool!

Once again I thought this was a flower from the thumbnail. Almost has a pomegranate type of richness to the red. Another great Veg shot, Ann.

@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@kloud Thanks Bonnie!
I had to laugh at myself on this one, because when I started cutting up things for dinner that night, I only wanted to cut them in a way that would take a great photo! Who cared if the meal turned out alright! It's the photo that matters!!

@sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- this is the shot that was actually inspired by Bonnie Lusted's onion picture.

@olivetreeann I never would have thought that an onion would make such a cool picture. I have a lot to learn. Nice job

Very pretty, interesting. I actually took one like this once because the center section was heart shaped.

@sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- well I must admit I'd thought of it but never followed through until I saw Bonnie's picture. It's one of the great things about this site. It's not a bunch of blah blah blah- people actually inspire one another here!
@alia_801 Thanks Alia- all my gifts this year are going to be prints or other things from my 365 pictures. That's a good idea!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick- mine were too!
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole!
@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie. Slicing it the other way is interesting too- but I wanted to try this way first. There'll be lots of wintery days to do another shot!

@bkbinthecity Thanks bkb- it's a Bermuda onion which isn't what most people are familiar with.
