I had hoped to search around the house today for something interesting to shoot, but when Jeff went to clean out the woodstove, he inadvertantly hooked up the vaccum backwards, and sigh...I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up soot! So, I'm uploading this one from our recent visit to Batavia. I really loved how the morning sun cast a long shadow of this tree. I brought out the contrast by using the film grain effect and bringing up the contrast. It now looks more like I saw it. It's amazing to me how our eyes and brains automatically adjust light and shadow as we look at what we see.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen- oh, he felt awful too! @kimmiesue Thanks Kim- poor Jeff felt horrible that he did it- but these things happen.
Beautiful work on this shadow, Ann. I haven't tried one of these yet. I'd like to see myself ten to twelve feet tall . .LOL. Hope that the "soot" situation got cleared up . . poor Jeff, poor Ann. :(
@dmariewms Thanks Marie- interesting how it struck you as scary. That never crossed my mind! @sanera Thanks Samantha- it's not messy now though! (o: @daveanajao Thanks Dave! @mrssmith Thanks Carla- yes, it's all clean now thanks to my trusty vaccum cleaner! @changingtides lol Allie! I should have been singing that when I was cleaning it up- after all- just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in the most delightful way! @summerfield Thanks Summerfield! Glad to see you're having a wonderful trip! @karenann Thanks Karenann- it's all clear now, but it certainly wasn't what I'd planned on doing today! @bruni Thank you Bruni- it was messy, but it's clean now- phew!
@digitalrn Well, we weren't as funny as the Three Stooges, and we weren't laughing when it happened, but we did manage to get it cleaned up- or I should say I managed to get it cleaned up!
