Making Applesauce With Cloe by olivetreeann

Making Applesauce With Cloe

I got to spend some time with Cloe today and we made applesause. As you can see Cloe also found the apple peels to be a great snack! She really loved using the Apple-peeler-slicer-corer!
OMGosh! I just got one of these! It was my grandma's. Anyway, cute collage.

What a fun device that is! Really cool! And such a cute helper you had, fun collage!

@annaruth Thanks Anna- good to see you again! If you like making anything that involves peeling, slicing and coring apples, you are going to love this thing! It cuts the prep time in half!!
@dmariewms Thanks Marie!
@friendie Thanks Carole!
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole- they are fun for little girls!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick- it's been a while since she visited. Her father felt she spent too much time here. Thankfully, her mom doesn't quite agree and it was a real blessing for her to have some down time.
@sanera Thanks Samantha- it was fun.
@cimes1 Thanks Carole- yes she was fascinated with it at first and then she was more interested in the peel! We had a good time. This is the second one I've owned. The first clamped on the side of the countertop, but this one is even better because it has a big suction cup and just sticks to the top.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@sarah19 Thanks Sarah- I just love this thing- it makes apple peeling a breeze and it works for scallped potatoes too.
@karenann Thanks Karenann! Best kitchen gadget ever!!
@geertje Thanks Geertje! She is the world's cutest neighbor! And I love this gadget. I really missed it when my old one broke. I found this one in Michigan this summer when I was visiting my son and daughter in law. I'm so glad to have a new one!

Thanks everyone- I wasn't able to upload while visiting the family so I'll be playing catch-up with my posts. I tried to keep up with my comments, but I fell behind in the last two days. I'll be doing my best to get caught up as the week continues. Thanks for being so patient!!

@mrssmith Thanks Carla- she was having a lot of fun. And she couldn't eat those peels fast enough!
November 30th, 2011
@olivetreeann I decided to pull it out today to see how it works and I LOVE IT!!!
November 30th, 2011
@annaruth Good for you- happy apple peeling!!
November 30th, 2011
You had a great helper there..she is adorable and I like your collage.
btw I've seen an apple pealer before today...
November 30th, 2011
@bruni Thanks Bruni- I've had two- of this type. Before I owned one of these, of course, I had my own two hands and a potato peeler! When I described the gadget and what it does to Cloe's mom, she was ready to go on the internet and order one for herself!

@sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry- we often call her the "World's Cutest Neighbor".
@jmj Thanks Jennifer. She cooks a lot with her mom too, so I think she's always going to like cooking.
November 30th, 2011
@olivetreeann when you have a lot of apples to peel this would really come in handy.
November 30th, 2011
@bruni Oh it does Bruni- I love this gadget! It peels, slices and cores the apple in about 30 seconds.

Ann, this is such a special moment...you captured it so well.

@changingtides Thank you Allie- yes it was special. Her dad has felt she visited us too much so she hardly comes over anymore. But her mom is not really in agreement with him and she was happy to let Cloe come play for a little while. I was really happy!

i'm jealous! i can't wait for my granddaughter to grow up so i can teach her...wait, i have nothing to teach her yet. maybe baking salmon with brown rice and mushroom topping? kinda hard maybe. but i can probably start her with bread rolls with jam. your cloe is such a sweet looking and pretty child.
December 3rd, 2011
Oh I love apple peeler/corers, they are so much fun. This collage is exceptionally fun as well!

.................precious - preciou collage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 4th, 2011
@summerfield (o: Summerfield- yes, not all children enjoy salmon and mushroom- but to me it sounds delicious!! But the bread rolls and jam are a sure hit. Cloe is our neighbor and very much like a granddaughter to us- she helps fill in the ache of not being closer to our own.
@crickle1969 Thanks Crickle- they are hands down the best kitchen gadget ever!
@adobewaters Thanks Adobe!!!!!
