I often look upon a shell,
And think of stories it would tell,
If given half the chance to speak,
But I in pretty bottles keep.
These wave tossed houses on beach did land,
Where I did find them in the sand,
And stuffed in pockets to transport;
Now silent dream of distant shores.
@kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi! @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry! @karenann Thanks Karenann- This one has a funny story behind it. I was shopping with my friend Judy and saw it. I was admiring it, but I put it back on the display and looked around the shop at some other things. When I was ready to check out I went back and got it. Unbeknownst to me, Judy had also picked one up with the intention of getting it for me. When she saw me paying for mine, she had to sneak hers back on the display! And then not to be outdone on generosity, she bought another one I'd been admiring too. When she gave me the gift she scolded me for buying this one and spoiling her surprise! She's a character! @mrssmith Thanks Carla- just a little ditty. @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen- I seem to be in a b/w mood this week. Guess I'll have to finish the week out the same way I began- in black and white. @steeler Thanks Howard! Doesn't look like your rockier shores have much occasion for shell collecting, but I bet you can find some interesting ones when you scuba dive. @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! @simster Thanks Simmy!
Thanks to all- I really appreciate the kind words- I took this as a quick shot, but I'm really liking it in so many ways!
@woot Thanks Davide! I really appreciate your faithful comments! @melorac Thanks Carole! Your kind words mean a lot to me! @prttblues Thank you Bev- I really appreciate you! @netkonnexion Thank you Netkonnexion! I do appreciate the feed back!
Thanks so much to all! I've enjoyed working with black and white this week, although I didn't intentionally set out to do that. Your feedback is so encouraging!
@kloud Thanks Bonnie! It was one of those little things I dashed off because I didn't want to write: This is a shot of my little Willow Tree Angel that holds a shell. Yeah- slightly obsessive.
