I'm posting this one a day early as we will be out most of the day tomorrow. Today's "word" was one of the items that attracted me to doing this challenge. It was a little different from some of the other lists. I'm sure the neighbors were wondering if they saw me out early this morning in pajamas shooting a picture of the corner of my house! But they really are used to that by now! This is the western corner of my home. I liked the perspective on this one. It was originally shot in color, but I changed it to sepia because I liked the early morning mood it lent to the picture.
oh, my goodness! this is almost like the back of the farm house when i lived in the farm ten years ago with partner. especially the placement of those two windows. surely brings back good memories. makes me want to go there again. and the sepia tone makes the memory more poignant. thanks for this, ann.
@httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @summerfield Thank you Vikki! Well, I'm glad it brought back some fond memories. Those windows belong to the room we call "the back room". It has a multitude of functions; guest room, office, and 365 Central since the computer is in there! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
I do like the color - especially on the windchimes. The store manager has asked me what I was doing... the answer was 'taking a picture of this leaf.' She hasn't asked again.
@summerfield (o: @digitalrn Thanks Rick- yes I guess they do! @ellimae Thanks Ellen- I can in my backyard, but I never would in the front yard!! @dmariewms Thanks Marie- I can see that in my mind! @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- sort of toned down for me- just using sepia! @peterdegraaff Thank you Peter! You are welcome to visit any time!!
If you come, I will bring you to the "Niagara of Pennsylvania" for a lovely photo shoot. @tooki Thank you Tooki! Yes, they do. They were a birthday gift from a friend last year. They have a deep, rich tone. If I had my way, I'd have wind chimes in every tree! But right now, I have these and another set- same style, higher pitch- in my backyard. And it's quite pretty on a day with breezes.
@steeler Thank you Howard! @bruni Thank you Bruni! They have a beautiful deep sound. @melorac Thanks Carole! lol I think you did! @twinsplusone Thanks Sharon- they have a beautiful sound- deeper. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! They might not bother you as much as you might think. Since they are close to the house, they don't get as much wind. Even on the windy days they ring less than the other ones which are out in the yard. Plus these have a deeper tone, so you don't hear them ringing in your ears as much as some of the higher pitched ones. @la_photographic Thank you Laura!
@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! There were a few things on the March Photo A Day list that were not unusual for what they were, but unusual for a list- and that's why I liked it and decided to do this challenge. There's a couple good ones coming up. @salza Thanks Sally! I love those wind chimes because they have such pretty tone. Glad you enjoyed the shot!
@kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi!
