I needed to get out of the house and go for a drive so I decided to head over to Barre in search of more steeples. Not every church has a steeple, but this church reminded me that there is one place that all churches consistently look up to.
I can't thank you all enough for your beautiful well-wishes, loving prayers and words of encouragement. They are adding strength to me daily.
Nearby I saw a church with a tower and four steeples on top of it and wanted a shot for you! If I get back that way (and the lights are red) I'll get one. It was certainly pointing the right way. Hold tight :)
what a beautiful shot! the symmetry is perfect, the sky is perfect with just a wisp of clouds and its reflections on the glass panels. you know i was looking at this quite intently and the effect of the vignette is like a camera lens closing in slow motion. great shot!
I really enjoy your theme this week. Hoping all will settle down for you soon, Ann. Take care and someone here said it well....that a camera is good therapy.
@filsie65 Thank you Phil- I'll look forward to seeing that! @httpgeffed You are sooooo right Colleen!! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @prttblues Thanks Bev- looking forward to when we eventually meet! @summerfield Thank you Vikki- yes, that vignette comes automatically on the Picmonkey effect called Intrepid (I think). I like how it makes the colors richer too. @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi! @smithak Thanks Smitha- I like this one too. @eudora Thanks Diane! @sangwann Thanks Dione! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @alia_801 Thanks Alia- I enjoyed art history/architecture in my undergrad studies. @melorac Thanks Carole! @tanja_1211 Thanks Tanja! @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! Yes, camera therapy is great!!
@potsbypam Thanks Pam- yes that is a phrase I'll be using from now on!! Much better than food therapy (although not as tasty) and less expensive than retail therapy (which doesn't work for me anyway since I'm not a shopper!).
Ann while traveling I haven't been able to see the uploads and read about them. I sense you went through some tough time and hope all is better. Sorry I wasn't there for you.
@anazad511 Thank you for your kind words Ana. Yes, my father was in stage 4 Parkinson's disease with complications brought on by Pulmonary Fibrosis (scar tissue on the lungs). I went to Vermont to spend some time with him and he was struggling to breath quite a bit. He died on May 14th- it was very sad, but also a relief because he was suffering so. But we had a beautiful service for him with a military burial and many family members were able to come. So it was ok. Thank you for asking.
Oh Ann, I am sorry. I know it's always very hard to loose our dear ones, but it's good you understand that it's good for him, and he is in a much better place. Glad you had the special service for his memory and that you were surrounded by friends and relatives. A hug from a distance. May his memories help you to find comfort.
