I must sing the praise of four
For without the number four
There would be no corners on earth where the wind might blow
No directions for one's compass to show
No Irish luck
No seasons
No Love, Love, Love
No elements circling the globe
No squares to stand on solid ground
No words for Lincoln to address
No calling birds on Christmas lists
No super group to fight for justice
No play-off games for college hoopsters
And no Tops to doo-whop out a pop tune.
Oh four, smallest composite number, second number to be squared, and smallest of squared primes; though you are less than five and more than three, you will always be four to me.
Without you four, I wouldn't be whole. I'd miss a limb or perhaps a tooth, and then what would I do?
So I sing my praise of four
Qualified quad
Quintessential quarter
Faithful fourth of our numerical scale
Now and forevermore!
Well, that was silly! Still helping out my friend, so my viewing is spotty. Many apologies to all my faithful followers. You are even better than four!
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! @kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! I kind of hid the actual "four" sayings- such as the Beatles being known as the Fab Four- instead I named off one of their songs. And I realized as I was writing them they were Americanized sayings and might not be recognizable. Sorry about that! @karenann Thanks Karenann! You are, as the French say, FORmidable! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! Yup, I'm not only thinking of the horizontal flow of the monthly calendar but the vertical flow too. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @dmariewms Thanks Marie! lol @kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@alia_801 Thank you Alia! Long hours in a hot and humid climate has made me quite silly! @prttblues Thanks Bev! You are also doing so well with those pianos! @myhrhelper Thank you so much Kathy! I really appreciate the comment and view!! @automaticslim Thanks Andy- it's coming along! @wenbow Thanks Wendy. It was really a spur of the moment thing! @lesphoto Thanks Leslie! I do like putting these together. I'm not only thinking of the connecting days each week but how the weeks will look with each other when the whole month is done. Yes, it's a little obsessive! @bruni Thank you Bruni- you are fourtastic!
Nice texture with this one, or four :-) I can't believe I have missed so many in this album. Where, Oh, where have I been. These are good! I give you an A+ :-)
