Light Through the Blinds 2

On my way to discovering a way to process this shot with the "little world technique" as suggested by Andy (@automaticslim), I landed on this. Still looking for a way to turn these blinds into an orb (with on-line processing tools), but in the meantime, I liked the different ways the good ol' Hypnotic effect in Ribbet effected the original shot.
i like this a lot! looks owl-ish!

January 16th, 2013
Very interesting effect.
January 16th, 2013
Very pretty collage & b&w :-)
January 16th, 2013
Very abstract!
January 16th, 2013
Reminds me of circles in water. Very pleasing result.

You must have such fun when your enhanced images pop up in the screen, not knowing how its going to
look! This is a cool effect!

very cool processing.

@lyno Thanks Lyn- It looks like tv test patterns on steroids to me!
@dakotaburns Thanks Donald! Kind of crazy I think.
@vposey Thanks Vickie!
@salza Thanks Sally- very is putting it mildly!
@humphreyhippo Thanks Humphrey! It's kind of crazy, kind of fun, but I like the way you see it!
@jackie8 Thank you Jackie- this effect ALWAYS makes me laugh. It's so crazy- and what it does to pictures sometimes is just bizarre.
@daisy Thank you Kathryn!

Nice and abstract, very cool patterning

@digitalrn Thanks Rick- all by accident while trying to accomplish something else. Typical for me!!

Cool processing, Ann!

Very cool
January 17th, 2013
Great processing, Ann. Love the repeated patterns on the different textures.
January 17th, 2013
Fantastic captures and love the processing. It's so beautiful and love the B&W.
January 17th, 2013
@maggiemae Oooh- yes very retro! Thanks Maggie!
@deniseinindy Thanks Denise! It's nothing like what I was trying to do, but it did come out to be very interesting!
@bkbinthecity Thnaks Brian!
@sangwann Thanks Dione! It's different variations on the same processing effect. Some experiment!
@rachelmackenzie Thank you Rachel! Interestingly the original is not a b/w but very monochromatic. The effect just makes it look like it really was a b/w.
January 17th, 2013
Fav for this fabulous!!
January 17th, 2013
@ruthmouch Thank you Ruth! Thank you so much for the fav too- wow, this was really just a whimsical experiment!
January 17th, 2013
This is getting very interesting. Great experiment.
January 17th, 2013
Cool sequence of effects!
January 17th, 2013
Great processing.
January 17th, 2013
This is so cool. I can't imagine doing this and you did it so well.
January 17th, 2013
Oh, I like this effect Ann - very graphic.
January 17th, 2013
Nice panorama! I want to learn the little planet thing too! Jus too little time. I had meant to take my panorama shot in Red Rock Canyon park n Vegas but it was so cloudy out and so cold and windy. I just forgot. I cannot wait to see your planet...
January 18th, 2013
Wow this is cool, I like the progression.
January 18th, 2013
@anazad511 Thanks Ana! Today's version (about to be posted) could be called, "And now for something completely different!" Much more sedate, but still nothing like the original.
@geertje Thanks Geertje!
@la_photographic Thank you Laura!
@granny7 Thanks Linda!
@automaticslim Thanks Andy! I am still trying to figure out how to make it circular!
@espyetta Thanks MaryBeth- it's actually not a panorama though. It's the original cropped to a square size. I then played around with it in the hypnotic effect in Ribbet, hoping to get that circular effect but couldn't get the offset correct, so I ended up saving the different versions and then stringing them together in a collage with no spacing between the separate shots. I don't know if I'll be able to pull the planet off. There is a step in the on-line instruction that I can't do in the on-line processing sites. So I am trying to figure out a variation, but so far not coming close!
@tara11 Thanks Tara!

Thanks everyone- this challenge within a challenge certainly has me thinking! I have a completely different shot to post tonight but I'm going to post another attempt tomorrow. We'll see if my next idea fares any better!
January 18th, 2013
Lovely processing Ann, the b&w works well on this....very abstract =)
January 18th, 2013
@tanja_1211 Thank you Tanja!
January 18th, 2013
I am really enjoying this whole series and the abstracts you are creating.
January 18th, 2013
kinda hypnotic, with all the kaleidoscopic things going on in there. nice!
January 19th, 2013
So many interesting patterns!
January 19th, 2013
@nadaa Thank you Nada! It has been interesting to me to because I hadn't really any idea what direction this shot would take when I first posted it!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! All that is really the process of trying to achieve the "little world" look without having the right processing tools. Andy has suggested I try the free Gimp software. I may but we need more memory before I can download it.
@cimes1 Thank you Carole!
January 19th, 2013
Wouldn't this be a fun window treatment!
January 19th, 2013
@allie912 Thank you Allison! Yes, maybe at the eye doctor's office. I'm sure it would help him sell a lot of prescriptions glasses!

Bev
What a gorgeous abstract! It doesn't look like your blinds! Nice job!
January 19th, 2013
@prttblues Thanks Bev- none of them for the rest of the week do. The power of processing!
