Door

A beautiful old door on the side of the church.
This door looks painted but still strong. Wonder what colour it is - probably white?

@maggiemae Thanks Maggie- yes, it's white- and freshly painted too although the picture doesn't really give you that impression because of the way I processed it.

Beautiful details, nice processing as it adds depth.

Love the knob and details. I don't think you can have enough door shots. :-) I was just thinking about this last night coming home while passing an old door shot I had taken. I love old doors, so no never enough lol :-)

This reminds me of the doors in my home, lovely find and capture!

i quite like the angle and pov on this... makes it look a bit mysterious :)

@northy Thank you Northy. There was a part of me that wanted to straighten it out, but when I did it lost all of its appeal.
February 10th, 2013
Yes, I like the angle too, a different feel to it.

@digitalrn Thank you Rick!

Nice shot. Love the processing and the angle. It makes me feel really tall! Well done! :)

Love door shots, very neat edit here.

Your angle is great and I would have never thought of that. I love old things, right down to that door handle. Great find. I like the soft white color, great processing.

Ooh this shot feels very mysterious :) Nicely captured :)

You had me fooled with the processing! Lovely shape and grace to that door.
February 10th, 2013
They don't do them like that anymore, Ann. Now they just make plain ones. Love them and those panels.
February 10th, 2013
Nice find and great in b & w.
February 10th, 2013
They do still make them like that, leastwise I've made plenty. It's a shame about the lock cut into the moulding. Nice tilt to this Ann, and the b&w processing is very good.

Old doors have a unique look to them
February 10th, 2013
It is a beautiful door. Love it in b&w.

I love four panel doors, they have heaps of character.
Love the angle on this

Fantastic series of b and white shots over the last 10 or so days - very atmospheric - your project calendar looks wonderful with them all side by side. Fav(s).

I bet this door has seen some comings and goings.... it looks good and sturdy, nicely processed too!
February 11th, 2013
wonder what's behind it? nice pov, they don't make sturdy doors anymore.

@kandernob Thank you Karen! It is a challenge @summerfield and I dreamed up- Flash of Red February. All b/w shots except on the 14th where we will use selective coloring to bring in a dash of red. Thank you so much for the fav!
@jackie8 Thanks Jackie! Yes, in the summer it also allows a nice breeze to come into the room.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki- it opens to our Fellowship Hall, a large gathering room for church family events like Candy Bar Bingo and Thanksgiving Dinner. The Boy Scouts, Youth Group and Women's Ministry also use it on a regular basis. It definitely sees a lot of activity!
