I find the sound of water tumbling over rocks or splashing on the shore to be quite relaxing. So I always stop to enjoy it! Found this creek while on my walk along the McDade trail the other day
Thank you so much everyone for the nice comments! I think a lot of people do enjoy the sound of water whether natural as this lovely creek or even the bubbling sound of a fish tank! Surprisingly, this shot is looking in the opposite direction of the scene from March 14th! And it is a lovely spot. So glad I discovered it!
@jplovescotton The effect on this shot is iPiccy's Advanced HDR. It's not as rich as the real thing, but it comes pretty close and works extremely well on landscapes. I also used it on the shopping cart picture a few days ago. It seems to work best with anything that naturally has dof and bold colors. In this shot it really brought out the sense of movement in the water as it runs over the creek bed.
@jplovescotton There are several people on here who do the real HDR quite successfully. I wish I could remember their names!! You might try entering it as a tag and see what comes up.
@la_photographic thank you Laura! That's all in the processing and I really like using it on this type of shot. It brings the picture to life.
hey, i found a creek, too, with brook-y portions. i agree, there's just something about the delicate sound of rushing water that soothes the senses. many years ago when i used to suffer from migrane a lot, my doctor prescribed an aquarium for me. but the thought of cleaning the darn thing made me chicken out, as i've seen my sister do that and it was almost a whole day task. so i had to make do with the taped version.
Thank you Peter, Colleen, Maggie, Allison, Bev, Marilyn, Lisa, Carla, Lisa, Laraine, Rick, Janice, Jerri, Donald, Taffy, Kerri, Sally, Alia, Phil, Dione, Jennifer, and Pinar!!!!!!!!
