I did not know it was Autism Awareness Day...nice that it has gotten this much attention these days. my sister is mentally handicapped and i believe she has autism, at least in part, though back in those days, it was not diagnosed as such. beautiful how the sun breaks the line of the blue bottle....symbolic to me, that the interruption of an otherwise smooth line becomes a missing link...

@moreyoulessme Thank you Jerri! I hadn't thought of it that way- but I like what you picked up. We have some dear friends who's oldest son struggles with Apsberger's (I don't know if that's how you spell it) which I understand is a form of it- but maybe I'm wrong. I know that it is on the rise so for me it is certainly something I do hope they are able to figure out its cause.

@filsie65 thanks Phil- and thanks for the education. I thought I remembered that correctly but wasn't sure. I know he's got a stronger version which has required some special schooling. It was tough on the family (and still is) but I think all concerned are convinced it was the best thing to do.
