Moonstone and Pearls by olivetreeann

Moonstone and Pearls

Using some of the bonus words today as I don't feel like crawling through my attic to get to the tennis racket! Although I'm sure the Moonstone mentioned on our Just 4 June list was really meant to be a gem, this glassware is also called moonstone because when light hits those little knobs on the side of this dish, the highlights look like crescent moons. Pearls are also one of the bonus words- so here's two bonus words in one shot.
Beautiful. It's so deliciously pastel.

I don't know what you have done here but the pearls are so soft with a pinkish tone which some pearls have! And the little light on the top of each pearl is well organised! fav

@mcsiegle Thank you Mary!
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie! I played a bit with the exposure on this, but the overall effect that you're reacting to is the Orton effect- it gives it that dreamy softening. I believe that dark spot is the reflection of my camera. Thank you so much for the fav!!
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole. I had several versions and wasn't really crazy about any of them. So I simplified the processing and this is how it turned out.

Thank you Kerri, Brian, Sally, Dione,Gerry, Yao, Rick, Carla and Smitha! It took 5 tries on 5 different processing sites, but I finally got this version which I am happy with. Thanks for confirming I made the right choice!!

oh, Ann, this is gorgeous! it should be framed and hanging in some classy lady's boudoir!

@eniaral Thank you Laraine! It took forever to get this one processed right. The original shot was too dark by virtue of the place where I took it. I wasn't really paying attention much to anything that morning so it wasn't a great shot to start with. But after 5 different attempts and three different websites, I finally got it!
