"Come play with me!" said the Bee to the Butterfly.
"But you might sting me," she shyly replied.
"There's plenty of room on this flower of mine," coaxed the Bee to the Butterfly.
"Well, the pollen certainly smells divine," admitted the sweet little Butterfly.
"Let's sip some together," said the Bee to the Butterfly.
"It would be quite nice in the hot summer weather," said the Butterfly to the Bee.
"Well, here we are- a most unlikely pair!" laughed the Bee with the Butterfly.
"There's just enough room for me and you" said the Butterfly to the Bee.
"Well, you take that side, and I'll stay here," the Bee buzzed as he sipped and sat.
And the two were quite happy until the Fly showed up and that was the end of that.

While you were out, I did do a series of shots of my grandsons and they became the basis of a book for them at Christmas. I am tickled when I hear that they still read them at bedtime! Great shots, Ann! Great collage and really great story! Loved it all!! Well composed (both the collage and the tale of the butterfly and the bee!). I don't dare shoot bees. Don't need to get stung! Nice job, Ann! :)
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I definitely steer clear of wasps and hornets (have been stung by both!) but Bumblebees are really not that aggressive. And this one was fine with the camera hovering around as long as it didn't separate him from his nectar. So all was well.
