I gave my first official talk as a "photographer" today, sharing my thoughts on my journey as a photographer and also my journey of faith. I shared many of my 365 shots throughout the presentation. And if it wasn't for 365, I probably never would have had the courage to even do this!! Two other speakers also shared their stories and crafts. This afghan was made as a gift for one of the speakers. Each block was made by a different friend and then joined together to make one beautiful blanket. It was not only a beautiful gift, it was a lovely symbol of what friendship and faith can be in a person's life. We are different colors, and form different patterns, but when knit together, we are a thing of beauty.
Wow. What a great photo. Very colorful. A perfect analogy for 365. Some knitters, some crocheters, but we all come together as a part of the whole blanket.
What an amazing gift to receive! Good on you for doing a talk about photography, isn't it amazing what doors can open when you have a passion about something!
Thank you Diane, Lisa, Terry, Brian, Taffy, Jerri, Lisa, Yao, Timothy, Dione, Sally, Claire, Rick, Alia, Colleen, Katie, and Kathryn! Thanks so much for your faithful comments and great support!!
The perfect gift and one the recipient will most certainly treasure for life. I'll bet you gave a wonderful presentation. Congratulations! Beautiful afghan and the symbolism is even more special.
@henrir Thank you Henri! I received a lot of positive feedback. It was very encouraging and I had fun sharing some of my pictures with the ladies. @allie912 Thank you Allison! It was a beauty.
Very nice shot of a very lovely blanket. Great textures and patterns. It's so cool that you spoke about your photography. I think it's great that you have that kind of outlet there. I hope that some day soon you will be displaying your photos in an art gallery. Well done, Ann :)
Wow, such a nice gift, made by the community. I have done many crochet blankets throughout my life, and have enjoyed very much the process. It something very relaxing for me.
How wonderful for you to have such a good experience. Congratulations! Are you going to put your images in a slide show for us? ;) I would have loved to hear your talk. Love to crochet, and this is such a beautiful blanket. It reminds me of a sampler afghan, put together when one learns different and new patterns. Such a moving analogy! Lovely narrative to go with a lovely crafty shot!
@gratefulness Thank you Sandi! I don't have a slide show- but if you give me your email, I will be happy to send you a Word document with my "speech" and thumb nail pictures of the ones I used.
@gratefulness I will get that off to you in the next few days- I'm putting a sticky note by the computer so I don't forget! Ooops about the misspelling but sure do love that you put it in Celtic. I have Scottish blood that I'm rather proud of! You'll recognize my email as it's the same Olivetreeann tag that I use here.
Thank you Diane, Lisa, Terry, Brian, Taffy, Jerri, Lisa, Yao, Timothy, Dione, Sally, Claire, Rick, Alia, Colleen, Katie, and Kathryn! Thanks so much for your faithful comments and great support!!
