Our niece Katie and my husband Jeff are out running errands so while I have some quiet time on my hands I'm posting my pictures for the day.
We'll be heading out to the Middle Smithfield Township Hall for the opening of the Pocono Photo Club's show there tonight. So in honor of my "Rusty Latch" shot which is one of three photos I entered, I'm posting another shot from my get together with Rick and Marc at the Bethlehem steel works. As you can see I was playing with my new processing program again!
@jackie8 Thanks Jackie! @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @bill_fe Thanks Bill! I haven't figured out how to paint out part of the effects in this program yet. I might have done that on the sky had I known how. Thanks for the feedback. @eudora Thanks Diane! We just wandered around the area and took pictures through the fences but apparently there is a tour too. I'm not sure how far in they allow you to go though. We could see plenty from where we were. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! @gratefulness Thanks Sandi! @daisymiller Thanks Daisy! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @prttblues Thanks Bev! @taffy Thanks Taffy! @dibzgreasley Thank you Debs and thank you so much for the fav! @susale Thanks Suse! @cimes1 Thanks Carole! @sangwann Thanks Dione!
Thanks to all for the enthusiastic comments. There's so much to play with in this new program!
@neatz Thank you Anita! @jmrittle Thank you Marc! Once again- you were an excellent tour guide!! I think that's one of the fascinating things about art/photography- no two people see the same object/subject in the same way. I had a couple shots of this building- some more focused on the stacks on top, but I wanted to go for this grungy processing effect and I thought the whole building was a better match for that effect. So, that's how this one ended up here. And I've fixed the tag.
@yaorenliu Thank you Yao! Oh yes, photo opps everywhere you look. I don't quite recall if this graffiti was actual letters or some sort of goofy scribbling.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
