31 Days of Rust Day 27

Went searching for a few rusty things in the backyard yesterday. Saw this old hoe and liked the way the rust contrasted with the green handle.

No need to comment on all the uploads today. I am trying to catch up on my posts!
Great composition

Nice shot of the rake, Ann. Wait. You said hoe. Is it a rake or hoe? Or a trowel? I'm confused. I know it's a garden instrument! You captured it quite well. Great focus and texture.

Maybe this could be adapted for Mad Hatters?

The green and blue add more color to the already colorful rusty hoe.

@taffy @dibzgreasley Thank you so much for the favs Taffy and Debs! Pleased to see this had a little stint on the Trending Page!

@kerristephens @susale @nicolecampbell @digitalrn @mhatch @mhatch @altadc @daisymiller @fullcircle @bruni

Thank you so much everyone! I like this one too- although I wish that first prong was just a little more in focus!

@prttblues Thanks Bev! It's a hoe. Rakes are wider/longer and have more prongs. The prongs are shorter too.

@olivetreeann Ohhhhh... see? I know nothing about gardening! Thank you for setting me straight! :D

@prttblues Well, I'm no pro, but my dad loved to garden, so I learned what I know from him. However, the kind of gardening I prefer involves sticking the plant in the ground and letting nature do the rest!

I like how the perspective makes this almost an optical illusion, like an Escher print :)

@alia_801 Thank you Alia- wow Escher! I did not get that at all from this shot!

I like the first prong just as you've captured it! I think it makes the color and texture of the rest of it really pop!

@bellasmom Thanks Dina- it's a good alternative way to look at it. Time to readjust my thinking!
