Jeff's family came out from California, Oklahoma, Colorado and Virginia to see Katie's performance on Tuesday. We spent the day together Wednesday as well. I was asked to take some family shots and after we did the traditional posed shots I asked them if they'd be willing to do one "fun" one for me. This is the result! Jeff is the one in the lower left-hand corner. Katie is next to my brother-in-law with the flag shirt. I don't remember why they decided to wear the hats, but they add to the fun.
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie! Hanging from a tree with this arthritic hip and two bum knees? LOL Nooooooooo! Actually they were circurly challenged (if that's a word). I could not get them in an exact circle with their heads but in the end I realized it was to my advantage. I am simply standing in between Katie and my brother-in-law holding out the camera with the lens pointing down. I used my camera screen instead of the view finder this time so that I could see when I had everyone in the shot. I love the swivel feature on my camera!! So no acrobatics necessary- just good planning!
Yes, this one's a keeper! I may play with it just a little more to see if I can lighten up a couple of the faces on the left. But if I can't, then this one's good to go!
