Flash of Red 17

Went back in the archives to retrieve this tree shot today. It was taken in May of 2014 at Bethlehem Steel. Seeds have a surprising way of springing up in the most unusual places sometimes! This tree is growing in the ruins of one of the old steel mills. I probably should have cropped a little more of the wall out, but I did like the texture which the black and white brought out.
Nice textures in the wall.

Lovely composition and textures in the wall!

Love the comp: the horicontal line going across deviding the frame into a light and dark half and of course the life (a tree) is on the light half

Very nice and I like the composition. We don't mix carnival with lent. Carnival came to an end on Tuesday immediately before Ash Wednesday.

tend to agree, the star is the texture of this wall. Yes, seeds do fall in unusual places and Mother Nature takes over

I kind of like this composition actually! It was fascinating to see where trees can grow and you have caught a most intriguing one!
