Another wide-angle shot, this time from the other side of the barn in yesterday's picture. I really loved the way the shadows were falling across the barn and spilling on to the ground. And that blue sky- perfect!
too bad you took it before the current technique challenge which is "redshirt photography". methinks this is a fine example. rich vibrant colours, the lighting and shadows are to die for!
Thank you so much for all your views, comments and all those favs!
@pyrrhula This is the side of the barn in yesterday's picture. @nicolecampbell You would absolutely love this place- it is amazingly photogenic even for its state of disrepair.
This just looks like my childhood summers with my grandmother's brothers on their farm in Illinois. I sometimes miss those nearly silent old men more than anyone I've ever known.
@randystreat Thank you Kathy! The barn is quite old but I think it was in use until the 1980's. @pandorasecho Thank you Dixie! Summer on the family farm sounds lovely and idyllic. @grammyn Thank you Katy. I find the wide-angle has a much softer focus and the pictures don't respond well to sharpening. So I've pretty much left them as is- and that could possibly be why the light and color has come out so nicely on this shot and yesterday's shot.
