Mosier's Barn 2

The photo club held a "Shoot Out" today (that's what we call our photo walks) at Mosier's Farm. The farm has not been operating for some time but we received permission from the person living there to wander about and take photos to our heart's content. Sadly, the property has been sold and this beautiful barn is slated for demolition so a strip mall can be built. Just what our over-crowded roads need!

Of course that always makes me think of Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi- but I like this version too!

What a shame that it will be knocked down....for a strip mall? (Not sure what that is?). I'm glad you got to capture it in all its glory before it is demolished. ..it is a beautiful scene & capture

@leggzy Yes, that must sound very strange! It's a US term for a small shopping center- usually one, straight row of shops- like a strip of film, hence the name "strip mall".

@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole. Yes, I had over 150 pictures! Of course a good portion of them were not worth keeping! And I usually shoot 3 of each shot in case I move during one- but I'll be posting pictures from this site for a while!
