Experimenting with red today. I like the way this red spoon converted to black and white. I thought I'd probably carry this color conversion experiment to the end of the month, but I'm not all that inspired by it now! So I'm going to move on to "natural black and whites" in high key for the final four days. That should be a bit more challenging as I want to keep my calendar view totally black and white!
You were doing such a magnificent job of keeping to the challenge, Ann I really like the simplicity of this one and the depth and contrast to have captured.
Interesting shot, but I think there is only so far one can go with experimenting with colours. Like @30pics4jackiesdiamond I will be pleased to get back to colour!!
@cruiser Thank you Chris! A "natural" black and white (by my definition) is a shot which is basically black and white- but taken in color and not converted. I'm posting a shot tonight (and over the next few days) where you'll see that in action.
@wendyfrost Thank you Wendy! @radiogirl Thank you Kathy! @louannwarren Thank you Lou Ann! @grammyn Thank you Katy! It will still look black and white- don't worry. I have chosen my subjects very carefully! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! I needed to put some fun into it as I was beginning to take it so seriously! @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you Jackie! I would have no problem with a longer month now, but when I first started this challenge that seemed overwhelming. I enjoy working in both formats for different reasons and I find going through a month's worth usually steps up my skills in black and white too. I think I'll do the color month as well- I like how the calendar looks at the end of that just as much as a month of black and white.
@alia_801 Thanks Allie! @suesouthwood Thank you Sue! Whenever I work with black and white for a month I think it helps me to see color better and color helps me to see black and white more clearly. So I enjoy both.
