Dipped into the family archives for today's word. This is my grandmother (my mother's mother) shoveling the driveway- and believe me, it was not a short one. I'm not sure of the date, but it is a rather old photo. I don't think you'd find too many people doing this today! Seems most people use a snow blower.
a very determined lady, I well remember shovelling snow to clear the driveway when we lived in the UK. I don't miss that job at all. A lovely memory though.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @onewing Thank you Babs! Even though we get snow, I am thankfully not the one who removes it most of the time. I do try to help out but if I don't have to...!
Thank you Milanie!
Thank you Maggie!
Still do it the same way as she did if nessasary.
Thank you Connie! While it's beautiful when it falls, it doesn't clean up as nicely as Jacaranda tree blossoms!
Thanks Lynda!
Thanks Clare!
Thank you Ferry! My husband is the shoveler in this household but I've been known to help out when needed.
Thank you Wendy- yes, I use a broom more often than the shovel too.
