Flash of Red 2018-6

I have a small collection of coins from around the world. A few of them I collected myself but most of them came in a grab bag gift I received at a Christmas party 10 years ago. This is just a small sampling of them. They were a great subject to continue my emphasis on shape this week. Do you recognize any of them?

You have a wonderful variety of shapes for this photo. I don't really recognize the lire because they were using euro when I was there and I see one that says Bahamas, and one that says the Antilles and one that looks like it might be Israeli or Arabic. Nicely done.

Interesting set of shapes! Some UK coins are cool shapes too. Aussie ones are mostly round and boring.

I have never seen square coins in my life. Very interesting. The day before yesterday I was talking to my brother about revisiting the museum of our Mdina cathedral. They have an amazing collection of coins some going back to Roman times and maybe beyond. I visited the place many years ago.

Thank you one and all! I usually hate those grab bag games. I always pick out something I really like and then on someone else's turn they "grab" it from me. But this time, I got the coins and no one wanted them! yay!
