Flash of Red 2018-26

I was working with low-light and was too lazy to get out my tripod. So you get texture and soft focus to cover up all my black and white blurriness!
A very abstract photo.

Cool abstract.

Super abstract (it looks like a hand holding a human heart to me) smile.

I like the texture and soft focus. I have never considered art in black-and-white before but this photo illustrates it beautifully.

@henrir @sangwann @louannwarren @grammyn @mittens @tremerryn @helenhall @pyrrhula @radiogirl

Thank you Henri, Dione, Lou Ann, Katy, Marilyn, Tremerryn, Helen, Ferry, and Kathy.

It's not really an abstract- it's a close-up of one of those little Willow Tree figurines who's holding a conch shell to her ear. I guess it just looks like an abstract because- 1) the photo was blurry, 2) I went with the blur and blurred it even further, and 3) I applied painting style effects to keep the light low softness of the shot. So it's not a surprise that you didn't really see the figure in there!

Makes a nice abstract.

@kwind Thanks Kim! It's not really an abstract (see above) but I can see why everyone thinks it is.

Thank you Kerri!

I like that so much. Just like an impressionist painting.

I must try some deliberate blur effects myself. My problem is, I am an ex engineer, and my instincts take me away from this -)

@korky Thank you Tony! Ah yes, generally I do not like to blur my shots but when the lighting is low my imperfection is camera shake- so this became a creative way to cover up the unintended blur!

Ann, it's beautiful--you should try more images with this technique--it turned out wonderfully! Fav.

@sandrajo Thank you Sandi! And thank you for the fav too. With the right picture I do like the painted/Impressionist look and this was a good one for that.
