Since I'm not really into pink and purple (that is to say I don't have a lot of things in those colors!) I've decided to do high-key white and high-key black photos on the pink and purple days. Here's the first installment of the high-key white shots.
That's a good idea. I find that pink and purple and also pink and red are sometimes hard to distinguish with my camera. I see them clearly with my eyes, but they don't always come out the color I see.
Why not indeed? There is always scope for going off-piste. I have very little pink in my house, so after two flower shots I have no idea where I will go next. This is a great white on white high key shot. A really lovely shape to the vase which shows up well.
At first my eye honed in on the neagative space and then I saw the vase. One of those optical illusion photos! I was wonderfing where you were going with all the great black and white images. A perfect solution to the month of color
Thanks for indulging my deviation from the rainbow! Actually going with the true rainbow colors of indigo and violet would have been just as challenging so this was the "creative" solution I came up with. Glad you liked it! The vase was my mother's- It's Wedgewood and I've always loved it.
@joansmor That got me laughing! I tried emailing you but I think I am getting the address wrong, so email me with your travel plans- I'd love to meet! Olivetreeann@mail.com
