Thanks everyone! We are a football/soccer family so we've been watching many of the games in spite of the tv channels burying them! It's the World Cup and they barely are giving it the time of day. This has been a tournament of surprises. The BIG names have gone home and other teams have prevailed when no one expected them to. Sunday's game promises to be just as surprising I think.
@golftragic England gave it their best, but in the end, the tenacity of Croatia just wore them out. At least that's my take on it- although I will readily admit I'm not the expert. That would be my younger son!
@nicolecampbell Absolutely- you could see it in their faces at the end. It was really hard to root for this game because both teams had so much at stake and would have made history by going on to the final. Either one deserved the accolades.
@nicolecampbell well yes. but we get over these things pretty quickly and our team did much better than of late. Would like Croatia to win now - but it is not happening.
@vesna0210 We were impressed with their never-give-up spirit. I'm glad to see your country is proud of them and it was such fun that a friend brought this back as a souvenir for my husband. Who knew I'd use it for 365 someday! (The funny thing about it is that our friend was visiting Poland!)
