Our photo club had two photo walks this week and I'll be filling in all my blank spaces with shots from them!
On Saturday we went to Columcille Megalith Park, a beautiful sanctuary designed in the style of the stone circles found on the islands off the coast of Scotland. These items were left on the stone at the center of the Labyrinth- a circular stone maze that one walks around. I'm not sure of what the spiritual implications are concerning the labyrinth nor am I sure of what these pieces symbolize, but I found them curious enough to take a photo. I may try to find out what it all means at some point but I'm so far behind in posting now, I'd rather get the pictures up and do my sleuthing later!
Very intriguing and a great capture of it.
(Humans often learn it only the hard way. We`ve learn not to fight, but to co-operate with water and nature.)
I have seen items like this left on tombstones as well. I know why some Jewish graves have little stones, but I don't know why money and things like the trinkets above get left at the center of the maze.
