30 Days in April 27

I made hard-boiled eggs today. I'm looking forward to the first Saturday in May when the Farmer's Market opens and I can get fresh eggs again!
Oh yes, nothing like fresh eggs is there? I buy all mine from the local wholefoods shop, but fresh, fresh is better.

Why do I think brown eggs taste better? All in the mind! Lovely image!

This makes me think of a picture Bonnie did of eggs. Although I think hers might have been in black and white.

@golftragic @shannejw @hjbenson @taffy @kjarn @kwind @bkbinthecity @pamknowler @peterday @wendyfrost @sangwann @mittens @daisymiller @salza

Thank you Marnie, Shanne, Harry, Taffy, Kathy, Kim, Brian, Pam, Peter, Wendy, Dione, Marilyn, Daisy and Sally!

@pamknowler I think they do too- a little bit richer in flavor. But I'm told by those who raise chickens that it's really due to what they eat and not the color of the shell. Maybe the chickens with brown shells eat better!

@peterday 10- just enough for a week and then some.

@salza I tried this in black and white but for some reason decided to stick with the color version. I miss Bonnie's wonderful pictures- she really had such an impact on me!

Beautiful eggs. Works well with the diagonal comp.

At first I thought they were tomatoes! I know you will be excited to have that market open so you can get all kinds of fresh produce for your photography and your table

Different chickens produce different colour eggs - there's a chicken that produces blue eggs (as does the bantam version) araucana chickens - I worked for someone who kept a mix of bantams giving multi-coloured eggs.

@shannejw That was about the taste and color of the yolk- not the shell color- sorry I didn't make that clear enough.

@shutterbug49 @grammyn

Thank you Shutterbug!
Thank you Katy! I just hope I can walk around it long enough to get what I need.
