Dad's Hat

One of Blue Ridge Winery's signature wines is aged in old whiskey barrels. Apparently it gives the wine a very distinct, earthy, flavor. These barrels were in the Root Cellar tasting room but I think they were more for display. I didn't think to ask if there was actually wine aging in them.

@randystreat The logo belongs to the whiskey. I don't think the wine tastes like whiskey, it apparently picks up an earthy flavor from the wood of the barrels. But I'm only repeating what was said- I didn't taste it.
