After several epic fails at split toning in my Canon Powershot, I gave up on the idea of posting a week's worth of images with the effect nicely featuring red and returned to the classic posts of black and white with the traditional flash of red tomorrow. I'll still experiment with the former, but macros and vignettes sound like a solid plan B to me for this week!
Nicely composed and great textures ! - I have given this a try ! BUT can not say I have been successful as I tend to waver off to do my own thing when I am not pleased with the result - so I will also revert back to the traditional b/w for the rest of the week ( at least I have given it a try ! )
It makes me feel so much better to know I’m not the only one struggling with that. Perhaps I should’ve started practicing sooner? I love the composition of this one and the subject.
@grammyn@beryl LOL my demos worked just fine- but the color selection in the Canon is not controllable so although I picked out red items, the camera didn't record them as red. I have no idea why! I had less success with the cell phone. Although I would tell it to capture red, it refused to cooperate-again no idea why. Oh well, if at first you don't succeed...
