@kerristephens This is actually an old shot, but it was perfect for July 4.

Lovely shot. I am so amazed at the volume of flags on display in the USA - so beautifully patriotic. Love this shot!

@httpgeffed @digitalrn @kezzam Thank you Colleen- the frame is composed of two seperate frames which I blurred together. The inner blue frame is the mirror frame effect from Picnik which I decreased in size so that it didn't overpower the flag. And next to that is their Border frame which I made smaller as well as changing the inner section to red for some "punch". I like to make my frames as much a part of the picture as possible so that they add to it and blend in.
@digitalrn Absolutely true Rick!!
@kezzam Thanks Kerry! Yes- we've always loved the flag, but I think its popularity has increased since 9-11.

@mrssmith Thank you Carla- for ALL your comments today!! They're really just fillers so I'm always encouraged when everyone takes the time to comment on them. It means a great deal to me!

@karenann Thanks Karenann- I know I love watching it wave in the breeze. This particular flag flies in Cape May NJ next to a look out tower used in WWII. Most people are not aware that Soviet subs were spotted off the eastern coast quite frequently- mostly due to the oil refineries in Elizabeth, Bayonne and Jersey City, NJ. It's now a museum and WWII vets act as guides to answer questions and talk about their experiences. It's very powerful to hear them speak.
