@karenann Thanks Karenann- yes it is! I was really surprised to find it. It was growing on a log down towards the bottom of our stacked wood! @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie- it would have been better if it was- far more edible! @weebug Thanks Marti!
Don't eat it - we had a couple of people (chef's) in Canberra pick some mushrooms they found growing in the wild a few weeks ago who died from eating them. Great find though.
@louisefrance Thank you Louise. I'm not sure what kind it is. They're very hard to identify around here because there's so many of them! @woot Thank you Davide! @inertie Thanks Inertia! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole- not to worry. I just photograph them. I don't eat them because I can't really identify them and wouldn't know the good ones from the bad ones, so it's best to leave them alone! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @prttblues Thanks Bev! @sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry- this truly was a find because of where I found it in the wood pile. It had grown there after I stacked it! @cimes1 Thanks Carole- yes it's a mushroom but I don't know what kind.
