@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! Yes I try to- it helps with my arthritis. @espyetta Thanks MaryBeth! I tagged it for you. I've never seen that movie- but I did think of it when I was fooling around with this. @kerristephens thanks Kerri! @smithak thanks Smitha! It's tagged. @digitalrn thanks Rick- just having fun. @kimmistephens thanks Kimmi! @httpgeffed thanks Colleen!
@salza Thanks Sally! The fun thing with processing is that you can take the most boring scene and turn it into something spectacular! @ulpiphotos Thanks Ulpi! @sangwann Thanks Dione! @cimes1 Thanks Carole! I thought about adding some butterflies and stars, but they just didn't look right! This was magical enough.
@la_photographic Thanks Laura. I started by cropping out my friend who inadvertently photo bombed the shot without knowing it! It was also slightly tilted because I had the camera resting on the edge of the pool, so I straightened it. Then the real processing began. First I bumped up the hue and saturation a couple notches because I knew I'd be adding a texture and that would darken the shot. Originally I was only going to add the "space" texture, but I happened to see the star burst texture first and wondered what that would look like so I stuck that on first. I liked what it did so I kept it. I then added the space texture on top of that, using the "difference" setting because I liked the midnight blues and and purples it added on. Then I flipped it so that the big stars were on the left side instead of the right. Lastly I added the basic frame changing the colors from black and white to deep blue and purple to match the shot. I used Picmonkey to process this because they give you the ability to apply your own textures in their processing program. Both of these textures were saved from Picnik before it "went off the air". I had fun playing around with this one so that I could conquer this word. I have a feeling I'll have to do some processing with a few others too!
@la_photographic You're welcome! Any time- and I realized after reading AutomaticSlim's comment that I had also added a vignette. I tinted it purple instead of black so that it would match. I guess it blended in so well, I forgot I did it! @automaticslim Thanks Automatic! @woot Thanks Davide! @prttblues Thanks Bev!
@vposey Thank you Vickie! This pool has some really great reflections- with or without the processing! @filsie65 Thanks Phil! iPiccy just added textures and they have a lot of good ones like this- just found the starburst today while processing another shot for the June Word Challenge. I'm probably holding off on that one since I just posted this. You'll also find Picnik's beloved mirror frame there and a whole bunch of neat collage layouts. I wouldn't have thought about saving the textures if it wasn't for the discussion post by another 365er on how to do it.
