I was excited to get several shots of some beautiful butterflies while at Cape May on our anniversary. This lovely Buckeye was pulling out all the stops to impress me.
@allie912 Thanks Allison! He landed right in front of me- how could I resist!? @beachradish Thanks Beachradish! I couldn't have asked for a better background- but that's what was there. @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @karenann Thanks Karenann! @zshadowwalker Thanks Adrian! He landed right on the path- it was perfect. @sharonaddison Thanks Sharon! @woot Thanks Davide! @mrssmith Thanks Carla! @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi!
Thanks you everyone. I was really happy with this one. It was extemely hard to shoot in the bright sun. I couldn't see the picture in the camera, so a lot of times I was guessing if the macro was working or not!
Great capture Ann, I like the circular "eyespots" on his wings. These spots make the butterfly look like the face of a larger animal such as an owl, scaring away some predators.
Oh wow! This is beautiful! Excellent shot! I still haven't gotten any butterflies in all the time I've been doing this project! Grrr!!! Great capture! Well done!
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick!
I was pretty excited about this one. I tried out one of those new frames on PicMonkey though and I'm not liking the way it looks here! Oh well!
