Inspired by Carla Smith's version of Anecdote of the Jar by Wallace Stevens. Carla's jar sat on Indiana soil. Mine is sitting in a tree trunk that will eventually become next year's firewood.
@prttblues Thanks Bev- believe it or not, this is actually a color shot I turned to sepia and then painted the original color of the jar back in. All done, on line for free. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @sangwann Thanks Dione!
@sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry! I have to give Carla the credit. She said on her post to walk outside and find a place to set the jar down, then take a shot and tell her where it is. So this shot was inspired by her.
@filsie65 Thank you Phil! I think it's the combo of a naturally brown piece of wood processed through sepia and then the selective coloring of the jar. @automaticslim Thanks Andy! It was my grandmother's. I think she used it for canning. But I use it for my stevia packets when it's not doubling as my photo subject of the day!
Thank you Kerri!
Thank you Vickie!
