I have a can that contains a hodge-podge collection of what-nots. It was the perfect illustration for today's mad minute word. I suppose you could say this is a celebration of all things unusual- but that would be stretching the word fete beyond its meaning. And I'm not even going to pretend this stuff brings me joy! It doesn't. In fact most of it has no explanation for having been kept in this can at all! What am I doing with a old fuse? LOL This shot reminds me of one of those I Spy books.
gallimaugry- a hodge-podge; jumble; confused medley.
the screws, the wrenches and the chain, i'm pretty sure, will come in handy one of these days. you'll never know. at least yours is just a can. I have a good size tool box with a gallimaufry of crap, some of which had come in handy, despite partner telling me to throw them away. hah!
You should come visit my garage, Ann. You'll find all kinds of everything there. Usually I finish going out to buy what I need, better than spend hours looking around without success.
@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @mrssmith203 Thanks Carla! About the only thing they are truly useful for is illustrating the word gallimaufry. @summerfield Thank you Vikki! I really should have gone down into the crawl space and taken a picture of Jeff's gallimaufry. It's far more impressive than this! @omabluebird Thank you Susan! You are a positive thinker. I'm pretty sure the only time I'll need this stuff is if gallimaufry shows up in the mad minute word again. (o: @prttblues Thank you Bev! lol I keep this can buried in the back of my utility closet! That shows you how useful these things truly are. (o: @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! I'm not really sure why I kept any of these things- especially the fuse since we no longer have an electrical box with that kind of fuse! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! I'm quite proud of myself for only having a can- Jeff has the entire crawl space! lol @sunshinephoto5 Thank you Dawn! I do have a drawer of sewing things that might contend for the word "gallimaufry" but I actually use most of the things in that drawer. This collection however is purely unnecessary! lol @taffy Thank you Taffy! Oh yes, I'm quite pleased that all I have is a can- when Jeff has an entire crawl space! @sangwann Thanks Dione! You had me laughing on that one- our former landlord had the same kind of garage! @henrir Thank you Henri!
@sunshinephoto5 What does that entail? Picking out the word and posting the discussion? I can do that- but I will be tied up with a family wedding on Sunday so I might not be able to view all the pictures that get posted for it. But I'd be glad to pick a word and post the discussion with everyone's tag.
Monday or tues would be fine. just need to give the other person a bit of time to come up with the word :) or not lol! After all it is Mad Mad Mad!! lol!
