Pardon Me Mister Bee!

Pardon me, Mister Bee
I think that Thistle was meant for me!
Oh no my little butterfly,
This thistle bloom was meant for I!

These two did not share as well as the bee and butterfly on my Coneflower. A second after this shot, the bee chased the European Cabbage Butterfly away.
Beautiful

Great lighting in the thistle shot! Funny as I also captured one but it is totally totally a different take!

Did you make that up? Or was it composed just for a bee and a butterfly! The colours on the butterfly are just lovely. Imagine getting both!

That plant looks like it could hurt!

Very nice, and this is what ours will look like in a few weeks Ann.

Terrific that you captured both on the thistle at the same time! Thistles are very pretty - from a distance!

@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
@twr Thank you Timothy!
@taffy Thank you Taffy! I will have to give it a look!
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie! Yes, I made that up. Many were encouraging me to turn the Bee and Butterfly poem into a children's book and I think I will do that for my granddaughters for Christmas- a collection of easy to read poems with some of my pictures. This will be one of them.
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! They are definitely prickly and hurt if you get poked by them.
@filsie65 Thanks Phil!
@fullcircle Thank you Cindy!
@gerry Thank you Gerry!
@sangwann Thanks Dione! The sharing of the thistle was only momentary- the bee chased the butterfuly away seconds after I took this shot.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! I guess I've just never seen the ones around here in the early white stages. I'll have to watch for that!
@roejan Thanks Roe Jan! Yes, I know. I've been poked by a few and they hurt!!

Nicely shot.

This is beautiful. I really like your compostion.

Nice capture. I tried yesterday to get a photo of a bumble bee and it would not stay still long enough for me to even get a focus on it.

@dakotaburns Thanks Donald!
@mrssmith203 Thanks Carla! I couldn't take as much time with it as I wanted. I was on my walk with my friend and her dog and the dog was a little impatient to go!
@henrir Thanks Henri! The ones on my Coneflowers have been too busy having their pollen fest to worry about me. But this fellow was a bit feisty and didn't want anyone near his thistle- particularly that butterfly!
