Hot Air Balloons  by olivetreeann

Hot Air Balloons

Debbie and I went out sight seeing yesterday and as we were heading back to the highway through the village of Quechee we spotted two hot air balloons floating above the tree line. Since my zoom does not really do a great job and the sky was a bit overcast due to a cloud cover, I bumped up the colors and added an artistic effect in BeFunky to spruce up this shot. I really liked how the two balloons and their gondolas looked like two exclamation points in the sky.
Wonderful, love the processing. I am jealous that you got to see some in the air. I love balloons.

Thank you Diane, Ana, Tracey, Claire, Brian, Carlie, Sally, Rick, Timothy, Yao and Dione! I'm a bit tired out after the trip home and moving all the memories out of the car and into the house. We will be entertaining some friends today- a surprise, unexpected but welcome visit. So I will be catching up asap!

Terrific job on the processing.....looks really cool!

@cimes1 Thanks Carole! The processing worked well on this one since the grey sky really made it sort of blah, so the processing brought some color in.

I like your composition and the bright blue colours. They must have looked wonderful in the sky

Great shot, Ann! That's so cool that they had launched some balloons for you! I think they did it special because they knew you were in town!! They didn't float over my way or I'd have snapped them too! That's awesome that you were given a treat like this! And you captured them beautifully! These two balloons are regulars at our annual festival and they show up every so often until the first snow. Love this! Well done! :)

@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole!
@prttblues Thank you Bev! They didn't seem to be going too far. It looked like they were staying near some tents where there was some sort of sale going on. It looked like they were basically going up and floating around for a bit and then coming back down.

@summerfield Thank you Vikki! My friend Debbie was talking the whole time! Why don't you shoot the picture from the other end of the bridge? Do you want to get closer to them? Can you get both of them in the picture? etc. etc. etc. I wonder who that reminded me of??? (o"

@olivetreeann - james Cameron or steven Spielberg? tee-hee! should've handed her the camera. mine usually shuts up when i do that. :-)

@gratefulness Thank you Sandi! The sky was a little overcast at the end of the day- so it looked too gray. The processing brought out some vibrancy.
