Your photo really shows the detail and workmanship of this beautiful tea towel. Do you use them or display them? I have some that belonged to my grandmothers, and I'm not sure what to do with them. I used to display them, but then kids came along....
they don't make anything like this anymore. the details in the leaf looks like it's hand embroidered but the blue detailing looks machine made. i am using the pillowcases that partner's mother's mother made with hand embroidered borders in baby blue. feels good on the skin. but they look delicate, just like this one.
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @eudora Thank you Diane! I put a lot of things in storage when my boys were growing up! I mostly display these by putting them in little vignettes around the home. But not always. More often they come out to pose and then go back in the drawer. I'm afraid I'd tear them or something as they are probably over 60 years old! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! You could be right- the white one is older than the blue rimmed one. @salza Thanks Sally! I don't think I've ever used them for hand washing- but I have used them as decorations.
@bellasmom Thank you Dina! And thank you so much for the fav!
