This is another shot for my photo club's scavenger hunt competition. The picture is supposed to be "a vignette of a keepsake or family treasure". Let's just say that most of the items in this picture are a keepsake or family treasure!
Thank you Kerri, Sally, Susan, Nicole, Carole, Rick, Yao, Vesna and Bruni! I appreciate all the comments. This little figurine is one of the Willow Tree collection and was given to me by my sister. Glad you liked the processing too!
Nice shot, Ann! There is a theme to this one .... "Reading is fundamental". ... Love how old they look. They look vintage and look like family heirlooms.
i love how you turned the colours this way. i suppose these are the right combination of objects for this 'faded' sepia. i love your set up, almost 'random'.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! Yes, most of the books are pretty old- some were my mom's, others mine from childhood. And the little "reader" a gift from my sister. @summerfield Thanks Vikki! Unfortunately, I won't be able to submit this particular version since it has some processing in it and we can't use that in the competition (only what you could mimic in a dark room). And this is exactly how my bookshelf looks- I didn't move anything for the shot. @pflaume Thank you Lisa!
