I will be turning in my final shots for the photo club's scavenger hunt tomorrow. Some of the shots turned out to be exactly what I wanted; some not so much! But I'm pleased with them and I hope one or two will do well. So, here they are from side to side and row by row:
Top Row:
A photo showing weather
A photo of a sunrise
A photo of a historical site (note the modern glasses and texting!)
A photo of a family keepsake
A photo of a flowering tree
Bottom Row:
A photo of something related to a farm in black and white
A photo taken outside at night
A photo of something in threes
A photo of a child
A photo of a photo
Great choices, and they make a great colage too. Wishing you luck but I don´t think you need it, cos you got talent :) Anyway crossing my finger for you...and toes too :)
ah, great selection, ann. i trust you went with your guts with these. you have good instinct when it comes to things like this. my favourite of all the photos is the one of your grand daughter. love that perspective.
Great shots for the scavenger hunt. My photo club is having a scavenger hunt too. I have never been on a photo scavenger hunt before. Fortunately for me, the scavenger hunt will be at one location, will be on one day, and will not be judged.
Thank you Hope, Bev, Kerri, Debs, Suse, Nicole, Brian, Zab, Rick, Vikki, and Daisy!
@dibzgreasley You could submit one, as many as you took or all ten. It was totally up to you. Me, being the perfectionist that I am, had to do all ten! The categories will be judged individually as well as one prize for all ten. We are doing this jointly with another camera club so one representative from their club and one from ours will make up the judging panel and the identity of the photographer is kept anonymous until all the judging is done. I don't know how I stand up against the other club's photographers, but there are a couple I know would be contenders in ours. I'll find out in 3 weeks how I did. Oh, and there really was plenty of time to get all ten as we had an entire month to take the pictures.
@summerfield That's Micah, my youngest grandson- but it's hard to tell with those chubby cheeks and the "longer" hair. LOL Vikki, I find choosing pictures for these competitions and shows completely nerve-wracking! I'm constantly second guessing myself. Today I was thinking about the "historical" shot and wondering if they'll get the irony of a girl wearing a turn of the century costume and texting!
@daisymiller We had a month to take as many of the categories as we wanted to. A one-day hunt also sounds fun. I don't remember what they said the prizes would be- but they will pick a winner from each category and an overall winner from each club.
@lleo It's quite fun. The two judge panel determined the categories and we had one month to collect as many of the shots as we wished. Winners will be chosen for each club and announced at our next meeting.
@bruni Thank you Bruni! I have no idea how I will do but I did have lots of fun taking these. You can only win on one category and I have no idea how good the other shots were.
Thank you Hope, Bev, Kerri, Debs, Suse, Nicole, Brian, Zab, Rick, Vikki, and Daisy!
