Messing around with the garlic clove I brought home from Mountaindale Farms. I am not happy with this. It's too dead center, but trying to crop it to my compositional satisfaction didn't work either. I think next time, I will also leave the shadow cast from the lighting in. I don't like the "edging" caused by cloning it out. I will be revisiting it, but I just wanted to fill in the last overdue slot in my Themes and Competitions album!!
Your "high key" processing is wonderful here. Agree with you about the too-centered composition, but maybe a square photo rather than rectangular would do it.
Very creative! I love that you described your thought process while creating this image. I also love reading suggestions from others. I am learning so much from 365, and I'm so grateful!
@summerfield LOL I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this clove- that roasted garlic recipe though sounds like a good possibility. Although I like garlic bread, Jeff is not so crazy about it, so that would be a waste of garlic.

Thank you Allison, Taffy, Phoebe, Suse, Janet, Ann, Bev, Joyce, Henri and Allie! Thanks for the feedback too.
@aikimomm tried that but it was still too centered. I'm going to retake the shot with better positioning.
@janetb this is absolutely the best place to learn!
@prttblues it's all along the bottom- that dark edge.
@texastrails sounds good- how do you roast it? I've never done that before.
