This week I'm going through my archive shots of churches for Architectural August. Today's shot was a wonderful walk down memory lane! The little Presbyterian Church in Upperglade, West Virginia was pastored by a man who went to seminary with our youth pastor. In the summer of 1973 (I think), our high school youth group was invited to go down and run an evening Vacation Bible School with their youth group. During the day we helped families of the congregation by painting their homes and cleaning up yards. Members of the congregation took us into their homes and treated us like family. Needless to say we had a great time and so many aspects of that trip really made an impact on me. So it was fun to take the slightly faded shot and bring it back to life with some post processing. Although not as ornate as yesterday's church, this one brings just as much glory to God in my humble opinion.
@francoise Definitely true if you're looking at the hearts of the people inside- but then only God can really tell what's in there! But yes, I'd tend to agree with you on that one.
