Jeff and I took a trip to Doylestown on Saturday to check out a car (but it won't be my next one )o: ). While we drove along I was thinking about what I'd be pulling out of the archives for this week in Architectural August. The idea of "home sweet home" came to me when I saw this humble abode. Of course this must be considered a very recent archive shot, but I let a few days pass just so it could be! Can you imagine living in such small quarters? Or maybe you do. My house is not big, but this would be a stretch for me! Still, be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.
If you're wondering about the blur, it was not intentional- Jeff just didn't slow down and it seems the camera reads the van movement more than the car. I think it's because I'm seated higher up in the van than in the car.
Somehow the idea of a portable home does not appeal to me. The size would be difficult to adjust to but the portability is something I could not get my head wrapped around!
